If I have to free my mind to be able to think,
Do I have to catch my mind to stop thinking?
If I have to trust the government,
Do I have to distrust the people?
If I have to follow the crowd to be cool,
Do I have to follow my muse to be warm?
If I have to mind my own business,
Do I have to not care about others?
If everybody begins to hate me,
Do I begin to care about them more?
If I have to have a plan in life,
Do I have to have no plan in death?
If I have to be gay to write poems,
Do I have to be straight to write pop songs?
